We grow a variety of musk melons similar to Honey Dew
and Cantaloupe. They are available throughout the summer.
Usage and Cooking Strategies:
Make sure to wash the outside of the melon before cutting
into it and store in the refrigerator after being cut.
Musk melons can be eaten plain, but try mixing with
mint and lemon juice. Also, they can be used in a savory
application such as fruit salsa or a salad with red
onion and chilies.
Keep at room temperature until ripe and then store in
the refrigerator. Peel and freeze the cut flesh for
use in smoothies.
