Beets are available throughout the fall, winter and spring.

Basic Cooking Strategies:
Beets can be eaten raw, as well as cooked. Try them roasted in the oven or sliced and sautéed or stir-fried. They pair well with cream and butter. Sauté the greens, like spinach or kale.

Storage Information:
When you bring home beets, remove the greens from the beet root.
To preserve beets, pickle them in a vinegar/water solution to use throughout the year.
